Appointed in 2002, Franklin J. Work QC is Alberta's second Information and Privacy Commissioner. He oversees the access to information and protection of privacy provisions of Alberta's Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Act, the Health Information Act (HIA) and the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
