9:00 - 12:00
Workshop One
Developing a Successful Onboarding Plan for Your Organization
Bonnie Pascal, President, Pascal Management Services Inc.

This workshop will demonstrate the value of developing an onboarding program for your organization. Strategies for developing a complete onboarding plan will be reviewed step by step, developing clear links between each phase of the process and demonstrating the clear return on investment offered by an onboarding program, compared with other recruiting and orientation techniques.

  • Reviewing the fundamentals of an onboarding program
  • Implementing a program to fit your particular organization
  • Testing and monitoring the program once it's in place

1:00 - 4:00
Workshop Two
Developing an Effective Leadership and Talent Development Framework to Ensure Your Organization's Long-Term Viability
Kristan Neilson, Senior Consultant, DDI Canada

Examine different techniques for identifying high-potential employees and determining how best to assist in the development of talent. The objective is to develop not only future leaders but also high-potential employees who will fill high-demand, non-leadership positions. Workshop delegates will also see how to incorporate practices in a broad retention plan that can drastically reduce turnover.

  • Building a strong leadership pipeline, with an emphasis on connecting talent management initiatives to business strategy
  • Leadership development practices that drive organization performance
  • Evaluating your own practices against established best practice
