Roger Blaesz, Senior Workforce Analyst, HRIS & Compensation Arcelormittal Dofasco Inc.
Prior to joining ArcelorMittal Dofasco, Roger Blaesz worked for a year as a Research Assistant at Queens Park for the Forecasting Division of the Ministry of Treasury and Economics. After obtaining his MBA from York University he began a long career at a large Mutual Fund Company, where he spent several years as a Business Analyst in the Operations and Call Centre area. Since 2010, Roger has been involved in HR related metrics and analytics. He spent 2 years working in the HR department of a large toy manufacturer and most recently, worked in the HR department for the City of Burlington.
Jenn Bouyoukos, CEO & Founder, Full Stack HR Inc
Jenn is a savvy HR Professional and HR Tech pioneer who’s spent 20+ years in leadership roles in Canadian companies including Workbrain, SAP, Manulife, Kobo, and RBC. In these roles she worked with leaders around the globe to deliver modern and impactful people strategies until she launched Full Stack HR Inc in 2016. As a first-time entrepreneur, she wanted to be an outside expert so she could work with more leaders in the early stages of growing and transforming their business, helping them get it right from the get-go. After hearing “HR is in a crisis” on too many occasions, she knew it was time to go out on her own to practice HR a little differently. These days, Jenn divides her time between contributing on and off client sites, delivering workshops, volunteering on many NFP boards, and mentoring young HR Leaders and entrepreneurs.
Aamna Contractor, Product Owner, Talent & People Analytics, Telus Digital
Aamna has worked with award-winning recruitment agencies, tech start-ups and investment firms in Downtown Toronto. She has matched an abundance of talent with life-changing opportunities and delivered customized in-house solutions encompassing talent acquisition, organizational design, people analytics and HR technology throughout her career. Having joined TELUS Digital as a Talent Partner in 2017 and now as a Product Owner. When she is not partnering with leadership to redefine their people strategy or leading her team of Talent Partners, she is working on strategically optimizing the candidate experience, analyzing/visualizing people data for the leadership team and building technical tools for my team to streamline day-to-day operations.
Jenny Dundas, Digital Analytics & Insights Consultant, Telus Digital
Jenny has worked in telecom for almost 20 years, providing insights and discoveries in data that have led to opportunities and driven substantial change within the financial, marketing, retail and digital sectors. Using her expertise in data mining, she has automated time-consuming reporting efforts, eradicating the need for manual intervention, saving entire teams weeks-worth of work every month. More recently, she has applied her learnings from the customer base to people data. By visualising HR metrics and supplying them in a self-serve fashion it has helped to highlight otherwise unknown gaps and possibilities.
Deni Garcia, Manager, HR Analytics, Talent Program Delivery, Rogers Communication
Dení currently leads the HR Analytics team at Rogers, delivering actionable insights across the company. She drives the data-driven decision-making strategy, transforming Rogers from an operational reporting to an advanced analytics organization. Dení is a finance professional with 13+ years of international experience with CPGs and Telecoms in the US, Mexico and Canada, and holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management. Besides data, she is also passionate about travelling, pottery and nature.
Benoit Hardy-Vallée, Associate Partner, Canadian Lead - HR Reinvention, Talent & Engagement, IBM Services
Benoit Hardy-Vallée leads a team of consultants who reinvent HR by enhancing operating
models and the employee experience. Through Design Thinking and Digital Change Management, his team brings the best IBM methods and technologies to clients. Benoit consults with HR leaders to envision the art of the possible and co-create new ways of
engaging employees and enabling performance. Benoit has worked with banking, retail, hospitality and industrial clients in North America, Middle East and Africa. Through white papers, publications, interviews and speaking engagements, Benoit shares his knowledge and contributes to IBM thought leadership in Digital and Cognitive HR. Benoit received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in philosophy from the University of Quebec in Montreal. He completed his doctorate in philosophy and cognitive science from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (Paris), and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Waterloo and University of Toronto. His research focused on the understanding of psychological and neural mechanisms that underlie economic decision-making. With his wife Aurélie, he raises 2 amazing girls (Estelle and Adèle) in Toronto. His personal and professional missions are the same: to create workplaces where his daughters could have fulfilling careers – despite the seismic changes in technology, society and business. Benoit’s childhood hero was Leonardo Da Vinci.
Geoff Ho, Director, Research & Advisory Organization Development, Rogers Communication
Geoff Ho is a Director and Behavioural Scientist building a strategic research team using science, advanced analytics, and consulting to shape Rogers' management strategy for its 25,000+ employees. Prior to joining Rogers, Geoff worked at Google's People Analytics team and 4 Fortune/Forbes Global 1000 Companies, received a PhD specializing in Organizational Behavior at UCLA, and obtained both a Master of Industrial Relations and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto. His award-winning research has shaped government legislation and organizational policies, been published in prestigious academic journals and best-selling books, and received global media coverage.
David Lahey, President & CEO, Predictive Success
David’s experience growing people and business units has included dramatic success as an Enterprise Global Manager, Financial Services at Microsoft in Seattle, WA and Toronto, ON. In 2015, Predictive Success was awarded by Profit Magazine the ‘Profit 500 Award’ for the fastest growing new companies for five-year growth. Jon is a Talent Insights Consultant at LinkedIn and has worked in the technology industry for many years from Start-ups to LinkedIn. The past 5 years Jon has spent in Customer Success before moving into his current role where he consulted companies across Canada and the US on LinkedIn’s newest product – Talent Insights. Originally from England, Jon moved to the US and now Canada which he’s called home for the past 9 years!
Michelle MacAdam, Founder, Oak Path Consulting Inc.
Michelle MacAdam is the founder of Oak Path Consulting Inc. For 16 years, she’s helped the private and public sector fuel strategic execution through benefits realization, change, and project management. Her clients include: Sobeys, PSP Investments, The Canadian Securities Administrators. She’s passionate about seeing teams refocus on shared vision, and rediscover their “why.” And has built and implemented enterprise-wide project and benefits realization management structures to that end. Matt currently leads the HR Analytic Systems team at Rogers, implementing and maintaining BI systems within HR. Matt is an HR professional with 13+ yrs of experience in public and private sectors, specialising in the telecommunications industry.
Tanya Pastor, Manager, HR Reporting & Analytics, Metrolinx
With more than 10 years of experience, Tanya Pastor has led HR Systems and Analytics Teams in various industries. Her Finance and Economics background enables her to provide contextual meaningful business insights while utilizing storytelling and powerful visuals. Prior to joining Metrolinx she worked at Greater Toronto Airports Authority (Toronto Pearson), Walmart Canada and Golder Associates. Her work is focused on HR Systems and process oversight, reporting and analytics, using data across multiple HR functions – Talent Acquisitions, Total Rewards, Organizational Development, Learning Management, as well as other business functions, such as Finance, Payroll and Operations.
Larisa Saplys, Analytics Consultant, Organization Development, Rogers Communication
Larisa Saplys is an Analytics Consultant in Organization Development at Rogers. She started her career in the New Grad Leadership Program at Rogers in 2017 after completing a Bachelor of Commerce at the Ted Rogers School of Management, Ryerson University. Larisa is passionate about using consultation, data & research to create custom solutions and looks to pinpoint data synergies across Rogers to inform strategic decision-making. In her current role, Larisa is focused on extracting insights from learning data for Organization Development leaders to continuously improve learning and development at Rogers. Examples of projects Larisa is currently working on include: a “State of Learning at Rogers” review for executives, and the creation of a Consulting Framework to upskill analytics/research consultants on the team.
Ankit Singh, HR Analyst, Career Edge
Ankit is currently working as an HR Analyst with Royal Bank of Canada, supporting the HR Initiatives team for Capital Markets Platform. In his previous assignments, he has worked in Automobile and Banking & Financial Services Industries in both senior and mid-level HR roles. In his last assignment with Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance, he was managing all Human Resource activities and initiatives for North India. Previously, Ankit has also worked with John Deere, Tata Motors and Domino’s Pizza. After having worked in India for good 8.5 years he decided to move to Canada. Ankit is extremely passionate about numbers and how the numbers, if analyzed meaningfully, can bring about changes that can impact strategic decision making. Apart from his day job, Ankit loves writing poems and playing cricket.

In addition to his role as President and CEO at Weiss International - a firm specializing in innovation, leadership, and HR consulting and - Dr. David S. Weiss, FCTDP, ICD.D, CHRE, is also guest faculty at executive programs at Rotman, Schulich, DeGroote and St. Mary's University. Previously, David was an Affiliate Professor at Rotman School of Management and Chief Innovation Officer in a multinational consulting firm. David's doctorate is from the University of Toronto and he has three Masters degrees.
