Operational risk management is at a crucial point in its development. Financial institutions are facing expanded regulatory expectations. Operational and compliance risks have become more complex and entwined, increasing the potential for failed processes that govern control breakdowns. The proliferation of risks associated with digital innovations continues unabated. A new standardized measurement approach is replacing the advanced measurement approach, which has implications to how you practice operational risk.
Infonex's annual Operational Risk Canada will go beyond the traditional ORM approach with its focus on losses, gains, and processes. You will come to recognize the value proposition of ORM to help financial institutions meet their strategic business objectives, and articulate that value to the board and senior management. You will learn how to make your processes fully effective by embedding principles in the day-to-day management of your business.
Our faculty of ORM practitioners, thought leaders and regulators from across North America will share their experiences on mobilizing various lines of defense. You will get insights on how to implement a stand-alone technology risk management function. You will hear first-hand worse case scenarios for employee misconduct and the best practices that cut through the layers to mitigate these types of threats. You can leverage what organizations are doing to reduce their exposure to outsourcing risks, cyber threats and data breaches.
As a leader with risk oversight you are in a constant need to strengthen your systems against dynamic, ever-changing risks. Join us in Toronto and get guidance on your most pressing operational risk challenges. Register today!
